Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
Our sessions take place at our private studio in Brickell, Miami. The space is designed to create a calm, comfortable environment where pets can settle in and truly be themselves during their session.
What should I bring to the photo shoot?
You’re welcome to bring your pet’s favorite treats, toys, or anything that helps them feel comfortable and excited. We’ll also have treats, toys, and water available at the studio.
How should I prepare my pet for the photo shoot?
No special preparation is necessary. You know your pet best, so we simply recommend doing whatever helps them feel comfortable and balanced before the session. If your dog is very high energy, a longer walk beforehand can help them settle into the experience. If they’re lower energy or more relaxed, making sure they’re well-rested may be best. Grooming beforehand is completely optional, but many clients choose to do so before their session.
Can I be in the photos with my pet?
Absolutely. Some of the most meaningful portraits are the ones that capture the bond between pets and their people. We welcome up to two people to join the session.
Can I bring multiple pets?
Yes. Sessions include up to two pets. If you would like to include additional pets, please contact us in advance to discuss availability and session options.
How long will my session last?
Most sessions last approximately 60–90 minutes, depending on your pet’s comfort level, energy, and pace. We never rush the experience and always work around what feels best for them.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing outfits that feel comfortable, timeless, and true to your personal style.
Neutral tones, earthy colors, black, white, denim, and simple textures tend to photograph beautifully. We generally suggest avoiding large logos, neon colors, or very busy patterns, as they can distract from the connection in the portraits.
Most importantly, wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. The more relaxed you feel, the more natural your portraits will look.
WHAT BACKDROP OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?
We currently offer classic black and white studio backdrops, creating a timeless and minimal look that keeps the focus on your pet and your connection with them.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH CATS OR OTHER ANIMALS?
Yes. While the majority of our sessions are with dogs, we’ve also photographed cats and are always open to working with other animals. Feel free to reach out to discuss your pet and session ideas with us.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH SENIOR PETS, PUPPIES, or kittens?
Absolutely. We photograph pets of all ages and always tailor the session around their individual needs and energy levels. Whether your pet is a playful puppy, curious kitten, or slower-moving senior, we work patiently and at their pace to create a comfortable experience for them.
What if my pet is slowing down or has health issues?
Many of the pets we photograph are seniors or are navigating health challenges. Every session is paced around your pet's comfort, with plenty of breaks and no pressure to rush. We take the time they need, adapt throughout the session, and create a calm, relaxed environment where they can simply be themselves.
Our goal isn't to make your pet perform... it's to preserve who they are. Their comfort and well-being will always come first.
